The loot system, accompanied with the UI is scuffed. Meanwhile you have something equipped with crit chance, crit damage, and +50 intellect. A weapon can say it does +5 dps and seem like its better or sorc, but its affixes might be +1 to a skill you dont use, some willpower, and some strength attributes that dont contribute to damage. Is stacking intelligence better, what about crit chance, or crit damage, or damage to close enemies, or damage to far enemies, or lucky hit chance, or overpower damage, or core skill damage, or + attack speed, or do I take +1 to a particular skill, or what about damage to vulnerable, or damage to crowd controlled etc? There is zero indication as to what yields higher dps in the fashion that diablo 3 had. Let me give you an example, lets say I am playing sorcerer and I want to maximize my damage for a skill. Therefore I have no idea what items I should be keeping or tossing, no indication as to what item is better for a certain build that I am going for. In diablo 3 we had readouts for our toughness and damage Diablo 4 has neither. But this is further complicated with the UI system. There are so many junk and filler stats on the loot that it will be very tedious to find something compatible with the build on your character. The loot in the game, in my opinion, is terrible. With that said, lets get into the reasons why I refunded Diablo 4. I particularly enjoyed Diablo 3's end game content making seasonal builds and greater rift laddering. Obligatory backstory, I did play Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, they were both fun games. From character builds and skills to lore and theories, we have it all covered. Additionally, Rurikhan also suggested adding a temporary Battle Pass reset button, but they weren't sure if Blizzard would be able to implement it in Diablo 4 Season 1 itself.įans have complained about Diablo 4’s UI since its open-beta days, where many felt that its initial design and font weren’t in-line with the game’s setting. Another streamer named Rhykker explained that this UI element designed to trick players is called "dark pattern," and that adding a purchase confirmation pop-up will fix this. Rurikhan also referred to the placement of the button as "Malicious Design," which many players in the comments seemed to agree with. This issue is seemingly affecting console players the most, as opening the Seasonal tab automatically places their cursor on the “Activate Premium” button that triggers the Battle Pass. Thankfully, Diablo 4’s global community development director Adam Fletcher responded to this and said that developers have already discussed this and are issuing a temporary fix for the same. Their game crashed immediately after this but when it booted up again, their Battle Pass was already activated which left them visibly frustrated. In a post on Twitter, streamer Rurikhan posted a video of them trying to check their Seasonal progress in Diablo 4, but ended up activating the Battle Pass as the button to activate it is placed directly under the Season Journey tab. Purchasing the Battle Pass gives players access to currency that allows them to buy cosmetics, special cosmetic items, and Season Boosts that provide faster XP gains to level up other characters as well. The Battle Pass in Diablo 4 is a first in the series as its predecessors weren’t live-service titles.
